Health and Safety Passport Course

Summary:

This course is intended for workers to show a basic level of awareness of all aspects of health and safety on construction sites as well as other professionals who may infrequently visit sites.

Suitable for:

Persons requiring to show competence to other shareholders in the construction industry of their awareness of legislation and best practice

Aims:

To give a basic understanding of responsibilities under the current Acts, Regulations and other current safety legislation.

Course Tutors:

Our course tutors are construction site practitioners with a vast experience of ‘on-site’ realities. They are also Chartered Members of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH); and also qualified and experienced Members of the Institute for Learning (MIfL).

Course Content:

• Health and Safety Legislation in 2009
• Risk assessment / Method statements
• Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice, Guidance and Industry Best Practice
• Duties of Managers with particular emphasis on compliance and good business practice of workers
• Recent changes in legislation

Classroom tutorials, practical practice, continuous assessment.
